Ajax has bolstered its squad by signing Fouad Zahouani, a promising 20-year-old defender from Union Touarga Sportif. Zahouani, who has committed to the club until 2029, will initially join Jong Ajax. The Moroccan left-back, admired for his attacking prowess and defensive capabilities, was courted by several European clubs before choosing Ajax. "I'm grateful to be here; it's a dream to play for Ajax, a club with such a storied history," Zahouani expressed through Ajax's channels. "When Ajax showed interest, I didn't hesitate. I believe in the club's vision, and I hope to fulfill my potential here." He cites Noussair Mazraoui as his role model and aims to make a significant impact. With 17 appearances for Union Touarga Sportif over the past two seasons and a debut for Morocco against Tanzania in August 2025, Zahouani brings both experience and promise to his new team.
