Former England captain John Terry humorously labeled Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo a liar. This remark came in response to Ronaldo's comments about the physical condition of journalist Piers Morgan. Defending the 41-year-old Ronaldo against criticism after a disappointing start at the World Cup, Morgan shared that the Portuguese once complimented his abs. "I have a pinned tweet—there's a video where Ronaldo looks at me and says, 'Yeah, you have a great press,'" Morgan recounted. Terry, who was present in the studio, reacted instantly. "He is a great player and a hell of a liar too," Terry was quoted by A Bola. In the opening match of the 2026 World Cup, Ronaldo did not score in the game against the Democratic Republic of Congo (1-1), but he netted twice in the second match against Uzbekistan (5-0). Portugal currently has four points after two matches and leads Group K. In the third match, Roberto Martinez's team will face Colombia, a game that will determine how Portugal advances to the knockout stage.
