Juventus Considering Khephren Thuram Sale, Franck Kessie Acquisition
July 1, 2026 · Santiago Delgado
La Juventus sta considerando di cedere Khephren Thuram e di acquistare Franck Kessie, in un'operazione di mercato che mira a migliorare la sostenibilità finanziaria del club.
Juventus is reportedly looking to offload Khephren Thuram while targeting a potential acquisition of Franck Kessie. This move reflects a significant shift in the club's strategy under the management of Carnevali and Spalletti. The club appears intent on selling a promising young talent while eyeing a nearly thirty-year-old player. The rationale behind this double operation is more financially driven than technical or tactical. By selling the French midfielder, Juventus could net around €40 million, generating a capital gain of approximately €30 million, which would significantly bolster the club's finances.

Kessie could join on a free transfer, although he would need to make considerable salary concessions from his current net earnings of €14 million per year from his time in Saudi Arabia. If Kessie genuinely wishes to join Juventus, he will have no choice but to accommodate this financial adjustment. The new Juventus seems poised to part ways with Thuram, the son of former player Lilian, despite expectations that Spalletti could mold him into a player of high caliber akin to Perrotta.
Luis Enrique of PSG also sees potential in Khephren, recognizing him as a future star, especially considering the continental acclaim of Kvara under the renowned Spanish coach. Liverpool and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in Thuram. Spalletti has expressed his admiration for Kessie, highlighting his blend of technical skill, versatility, and character. For now, these remain market speculations, but if these two deals materialize, with Thuram leaving and Kessie coming in, one might say, "welcome to the new Juventus," which is navigating the delicate balance between sustainability and competitiveness. The hope is that this season will conclude with more favorable results compared to the last.
