Laporta's presence in Aiguafreda came just hours after he led the institutional event of his inauguration, where he reaffirmed the strength of the sports and economic project, called for "the unity of Barça," and stated that he sees Madrid as "very nervous." Additionally, although he initially claimed he would not discuss specific names, he eventually referred to the possibility of signing Julián Álvarez, noting that "the offer for Julián is not unlimited" and revealing that "he wanted to come to Barça a long time ago." It was Enric Masip, the president's advisor, who documented the gathering on social media, sharing a photo alongside Joan Laporta and Pep Guardiola. In his post, he emphasized that, "once again," they paid tribute to "the greatest figure in Barcelona's history," highlighting that the event coincided with the day of Laporta's appointment as president of the club.
