Ternana Women is thrilled to announce the signing of Martina Toniolo. Born in Biella in 2001, Toniolo brings substantial experience to the team, having played with Empoli and Napoli in Serie A. The left-back joins Ternana from Fiorentina on loan until June 30, 2027, complete with an option and counter-option. Toniolo began her journey in youth sectors at Gaglianico, Torino, and Juventus. She made her Serie A debut with Empoli and scored her first top-flight goal with Napoli in a draw against AC Milan. Following a stint with Lazio in Serie B, she returned to Serie A with Fiorentina, where she also made three UEFA Women's Champions League appearances. Additionally, Toniolo has represented Italy's Under 19 and Under 23 national teams. Despite a calf injury setback last season, she is now ready to start a new chapter with Ternana Women. Toniolo expressed her excitement about the move, stating, "I am very happy to start this adventure. I chose Ternana Women driven by the desire to challenge myself and contribute both on and off the field. I needed a new challenge to express my full potential and find a club that values my human and sporting qualities. Above all, I wanted to feel part of a project that rewards commitment and dedication. I'm thrilled to be here and can’t wait to get started."
