Lukaku expressed his disappointment, noting, "It's normal to be very disappointed. We need to analyze the match: we had many chances, but the ball just wouldn't go in." When asked what else was lacking besides finishing, he replied, "We got too caught up in our emotions. There's not much more to say. We need to control our emotions better and stick to the game plan without getting frantic." On a personal level, Lukaku felt he performed well, stating, "I am happy with how I played, although I regret that we didn't win. There's not much else to say: we need to win the next match."
