Cristiano Ronaldo is set to add another remarkable chapter to his unparalleled international career next summer. The Portuguese forward will compete in his sixth World Cup, hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Ronaldo will be the second oldest player at the tournament, with only Scotland's goalkeeper Craig Gordon surpassing him in age. Gordon, born on December 31, 1982, will be 43 during the World Cup, making him the oldest participant. In contrast, Ronaldo, born on February 5, 1985, follows closely behind, older than players like Guillermo Ochoa, Luka Modric, Edin Dzeko, and Manuel Neuer, all aged 40. Although Gordon, who has earned 84 caps for Scotland, is significantly older, Ronaldo's 226 international appearances cement his status as a record holder in men's football. Ronaldo has also scored 143 goals for Portugal. Meanwhile, Essam El Hadary holds the World Cup age record, having played at 45 for Egypt, accumulating 159 caps in his international career.
