In a thrilling Eredivisie clash, The Tengstedt recorded a 3-2 victory over Telstar, marking a return to winning ways after a challenging run of games. The match, played at a rain-swept Adelaarshorst Stadium, saw Søren Tengstedt shine as he netted twice for the home side, propelling himself to the top of the league's scoring chart with eight goals this season. The Deventer side had been struggling, having failed to win any of their last six league matches. However, they showed determination and skill against a Telstar team that has been in search of a win since the opening round of the season. The match kicked off in turbulent weather, but the conditions seemed to favor Tengstedt, who opened the scoring just six minutes in. He capitalized on the slippery surface to strike a low shot past the Telstar goalkeeper. Tengstedt's second goal came before halftime, thanks to an assist from Mathis Suray. This brace brought his tally to eight goals, a remarkable turnaround for the Danish forward, who had only scored four times in his previous 41 Eredivisie appearances. The early dominance suggested a comfortable evening for The club, but Telstar fought back shortly after the break. Telstar's Tyrone Owusu halved the deficit following a long pass from goalkeeper Ronald Koeman Jr., with Nökkvi Thorisson's attempt setting up the opportunity. Owusu's goal marked his third consecutive match finding the back of the net, adding a competitive edge to the game. The side, however, restored their two-goal cushion with Evert Linthorst's powerful header from a Tomas Galvez corner. Despite a late goal from Telstar's Sem Valk, who turned in a free kick during stoppage time, the Eagles maintained their composure to secure the win. For Go Ahead's goalkeeper Kjetil Haug, conceding two goals was a slight blemish, especially as the club recently signed former international Jasper Cillessen, who watched from the bench. This victory not only lifted the spirits of the Go Ahead Eagles's move but also served as a reminder of Tengstedt's potential as a key player in their Eredivisie campaign. With renewed confidence, the team will be eager to build on this success in their upcoming fixtures.

What happens next

Following this match, Go Ahead Eagles will look to build on their momentum in upcoming fixtures, hoping to secure more points to move away from the lower half of the Eredivisie table.
