As one of the top goalkeepers globally, his experience is crucial for the team's ambitions, especially during a period of transition under manager Andoni Iraola. The interest from Juventus adds pressure to Liverpool's summer transfer window plans, as they may need to prepare for a possible replacement.
Background
Alisson's contract extension was a key achievement for Liverpool during the summer transfer window, ensuring his presence amid ongoing speculation. His role as a veteran leader is vital for the club, especially with new signings like Ronald Araujo and Jeremy Jacquet adjusting to the team's dynamics. As Liverpool navigates this transitional phase, Alisson's future remains a focal point in discussions about the club's long-term strategy.

Juventus, having previously attempted to acquire Alisson, has renewed its interest according to reports. The Italian club views him as a potential free transfer opportunity, contingent on a reduced salary. While Liverpool's leadership acted swiftly to retain Alisson, the rumor mill suggests that Juventus could still be a viable destination.
The dilemma for Liverpool is balancing Alisson's future with the need for a reliable goalkeeper. Mamardashvili's involvement for 20 matches last season indicates Liverpool's precautionary measures regarding Alisson's fitness. As the season progresses, Liverpool must decide whether to invest further in their goalkeeping department. The Reds cannot solely depend on Mamardashvili or the young Lucca Brughmans, who at 19 may not yet be ready for the pressures of first-team football.
The situation underscores Liverpool's need for strategic planning in their goalkeeping roster. Allowing Alisson to depart without a secured successor could pose risks for their ambitions. The upcoming transfer windows will be crucial in determining the future of Liverpool's goalkeeping hierarchy.
What happens next
With the winter transfer window approaching, Liverpool may need to reassess their squad depth and consider additional midfield signings or defensive reinforcements.
