Alisson Santos recently took to social media, leading some to speculate about his future with Napoli, sparking discussions about a potential return to Sporting Lisbon. However, A BOLA, a prominent Portuguese newspaper, clarified that the message was more of a farewell to the season rather than the club itself, as he is set to stay with Napoli for the next four years. Napoli has long expressed its intent to exercise the option to buy the player from Sporting for €16.5 million. The delay in communicating this decision to Sporting was primarily due to the club's focus on finding a replacement for Antonio Conte. With recent developments suggesting a more stable situation regarding Max Allegri's appointment, the club is now prioritizing finalizing the deal for the 2002-born player. Over the past months, Santos has impressed, scoring four goals in 15 matches during his initial stint in Italian football, and Napoli is expected to complete the transfer next week, ensuring a total payout of €20 million to Sporting. Remarkably, Santos' market value has surged to €28 million according to Transfermarkt, surpassing the fee that Napoli will pay to secure his services.
