In a heartfelt interview with Cadena SER, Spain and Athletic Club forward Nico Williams has professed his unwavering loyalty to the Basque club, with whom he is contracted until 2035. Williams, who has been a significant presence in Athletic Bilbao's squad, articulated his desire to conclude his career in the iconic red and white stripes. "I am very happy here, and the first thing I want to do is repay the club for all the affection they have shown me this year and enjoy it to the fullest," Williams stated. Born in 2002, Williams expressed his willingness to honor his contract completely, saying, "I would sign immediately to do so, but in football, we know that anything can happen." He further clarified that the only circumstance that might lead him to leave the club would be if the club president decided to sell him for specific reasons. However, he emphasized, "If it were up to me, I would sign to stay for life. Maybe something else will happen in the future, but for now, that's how it is." Williams, along with his brother Inaki, who has chosen to represent Ghana, has grown up with the Basque club, starting in their youth ranks before making a mark in the first team with 37 goals in 199 appearances.
