Alexander Samédov highlighted that Matvey Safonov applied psychological pressure on Arsenal, becoming a key player in PSG's UEFA Champions League final victory.

Former Russian midfielder Alexander Samédov shared his thoughts on Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) UEFA Champions League victory and praised the performance of goalkeeper Matvey Safonov in the tournament's final. The French team triumphed over London’s Arsenal in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, winning 4-3 on penalties. "How could there not be saves in the penalty shootout? Safonov psychologically pressured Arsenal and won the penalty shootout for PSG. Matvey's contribution to PSG's victory in the Champions League is immense. He deserves great credit. Russians don’t often play in the Champions League final, but every time a Russian player does, they bring success to their team. It's good that there is such a tradition," Samédov said, as reported by Metaratings.
