Udinese is closely monitoring the development of Nosa Obaretin, a promising defender currently owned by Napoli. With Napoli considering a market move for him, contingent on their next managerial appointment, Udinese has expressed significant interest. The club has scouted Obaretin multiple times over recent months, evaluating a potential permanent transfer or loan deal with an option to buy.

The possibility of a swap deal involving Obaretin and Genoa's young winger Seydou Fini has also been floated. Although exploratory talks have occurred, no formal agreement has been reached. During his loan spell at Empoli, Obaretin made 29 appearances in Serie B, with one goal to his name. Despite starting regularly, he spent the latter part of the season on the bench as Empoli endured a challenging run without victories. In January, Hellas Verona showed interest, but Empoli retained him for the season's duration.
