 Vincenzo Italiano is poised to make a significant career move as he prepares to take the managerial reins at Besiktas. The Italian coach finalized the details of his agreement with the Istanbul-based club in Rome this morning. Accompanied by his representatives, Italiano is now on his way to the Turkish capital to formalize the contract. The deal, orchestrated by Besiktas president Serdal Adali and his executive team, offers Italiano a lucrative package of six million euros net per season over the next two years. Besiktas, who finished fourth in the league last season, is aiming to climb to the top echelons of Turkish football, challenging the likes of Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. Italiano, having outpaced Laurent Blanc for the position, will embark on his first coaching venture outside Italy. Previously, he made his mark at clubs like Venezia and Fiorentina, and most recently Bologna, where he enjoyed success in both the Champions League and Europa League. His tenure at Bologna was highlighted by ending the club's 51-year Coppa Italia drought. After parting ways with Bologna, Italiano's negotiations with Napoli fell through, opening the door for Besiktas to step in.
