Barcelona Contact Harry Kane’s Camp for Post-2026 Move
June 30, 2026 · Verónica Medina
Barcelona is exploring the possibility of signing Harry Kane after the 2026 World Cup, but Bayern Munich is not inclined to sell their star striker.
Barcelona have reached out to Harry Kane’s representatives to discuss the potential of bringing the England captain to the Camp Nou following the 2026 World Cup, according to the Daily Mail. The Catalan club is interested in gauging whether a transfer could be feasible after the summer tournament.
The club has indicated that they would revisit the situation once Kane's international obligations conclude. As Kane will have just one year left on his contract by that time, Barcelona is considering whether they can finance such a significant deal. However, it is reported that Kane is currently very satisfied at Bayern Munich, who have no intention of entertaining offers for their star striker.

Kane’s representatives reportedly dismissed the initial approach from Barcelona, preferring to focus on negotiations for a new contract with the Bundesliga champions after the tournament. For the moment, Kane is fully concentrated on leading England in their World Cup campaign. Thomas Tuchel’s side is set to face DR Congo in the last 32 on Wednesday, with Kane already having netted three goals following an impressive season where he scored 61 goals in 51 appearances for Bayern.
Barcelona is actively searching for a new leading striker in light of Robert Lewandowski's departure and is ready to intensify their efforts for Kane if they receive any positive signals. This season, Kane has established himself as one of the top forwards, scoring 70 goals for club and country. He recently became England’s all-time leading World Cup goalscorer with 11 goals.
However, if Barcelona decides to pursue Kane with renewed vigor next summer, convincing Bayern to part with their striker will be a formidable challenge. The German giants view Kane as a key part of their project, especially after witnessing his impact on their attacking play. If Barcelona thought Atletico Madrid's efforts to retain Julian Alvarez were excessive, they should be prepared for Bayern to be even more resolute in keeping Kane.
