Caio Henrique Set for Medical Check with Ajax

Caio Henrique is heading to Amsterdam for a medical check, finalizing his transfer to Ajax from AS Monaco.

Only a medical examination stands between Caio Henrique and Ajax. The 28-year-old Brazilian is on his way to Amsterdam to sign a multi-year contract. Last week, it was already known that Ajax was close to an agreement with AS Monaco regarding the transfer of the left-back. The Amsterdammers will pay around ten million euros for Henrique, a figure that could increase through bonuses. The personal agreement with the defender took a bit longer to finalize, but Henrique was eager to join Ajax and was therefore willing to make significant concessions. Consequently, both parties managed to reach an agreement on that front as well. Henrique is set to undergo a medical check in Amsterdam this weekend. If all goes well, he will sign a four-year contract and become Ajax's first major summer signing.
