Official: Talent from Atlético Madrid Joins Ajax

Jano Monserrate, a promising attacking midfielder, has signed with Ajax following a transfer from Atlético Madrid. He will remain with the club until 2030, starting his journey at Jong Ajax.

Jano Monserrate makes the move from Atlético Madrid to Ajax. The 20-year-old talent signs until 2030 and will join Jong Ajax. Monserrate is an attacking midfielder who can also play on the wings. He played two matches in La Liga for Atlético last season, where his contract had one year remaining. Ajax has bought out that contract and will initially loan him to Jong Ajax to gain experience before making the step up to the first team. Monserrate underwent a medical examination in Amsterdam on Friday and was presented by Ajax on Tuesday. Jong Ajax started their preparations for the new season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie this week.
