Real Madrid faces a transfer setback as promising winger Yan Diomande appears set to join Paris Saint-Germain. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 19-year-old has verbally agreed to a five-year contract with the French champions, with personal terms already finalized. PSG is now preparing to enter formal negotiations with RB Leipzig to secure the services of one of Europe's emerging talents. This development marks a blow for Real Madrid, who had been monitoring the Ivory Coast international closely due to his impressive rise over the last year. Diomande's preference for PSG has become clear, as the player has reportedly approved the project presented by the Ligue 1 giants, prompting them to accelerate their plans. PSG had been waiting for a positive signal from the player before moving forward, and with his approval, they are expected to begin talks with Leipzig soon. However, the transfer fee remains a significant hurdle, with RB Leipzig valuing Diomande at approximately €130 million—a sum PSG is hesitant to meet. Despite agreeing on personal terms with Diomande, the clubs' negotiations may take time, given the financial aspects involved. Real Madrid's interest in Diomande had grown stronger following his standout performances for Ivory Coast in the World Cup. The club's scouts were notably present during the Ivory Coast's match against Ecuador, where Diomande excelled and earned the Man of the Match accolade. Nevertheless, despite their admiration, Real Madrid seems to have missed out as Diomande prioritizes a move to Paris.
