Spanish tactician Andoni Iraola has secured a contract with Liverpool, taking on the role of head coach. This news was confirmed by renowned journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X. According to Romano, the deal has been finalized, with an official announcement expected soon. Previously, it was reported that Iraola's contract would span two years. On May 30, Liverpool announced the departure of former head coach Arne Slot. Iraola, who is 43, previously managed Bournemouth, where he led the team to a sixth-place finish in the English Premier League with 57 points. In comparison, Liverpool ended the season in fifth place with 60 points. Iraola had been at the helm of Bournemouth since the summer of 2023.
