Bayern Munich has expressed interest in acquiring Liverpool's promising 17-year-old winger, Rio Ngumoha. The German giants have initiated inquiries about a potential transfer, although no direct negotiations have occurred. Ngumoha, currently part of a preparation camp in Florida with the England squad, is aware of Bayern's interest. However, no personal terms have been agreed upon. Liverpool maintains that Ngumoha is not available for transfer, viewing him as a key first-team player, especially in a position they aim to bolster. Meanwhile, Liverpool's pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande could present additional competition for Ngumoha next season. Despite Liverpool's firm stance, the situation remains fluid. Ngumoha made headlines with his Premier League debut by scoring twice, including a decisive goal in a 3-2 win against Newcastle United in August. He debuted for Liverpool in the FA Cup against Accrington at just 16 years and 135 days old, setting a record as Liverpool's youngest starter. Ngumoha left Chelsea's academy in 2024 to join Liverpool, signing his first professional contract a year later. In 2026, a tribunal determined Liverpool must pay Chelsea a minimum of ÂŁ2.8 million for Ngumoha, with potential add-ons and a 20% profit share if Liverpool decides to sell him.
