Cambuur Eyes PSV Talent Sami Bouhoudane
June 6, 2026 · Javier Mendoza
SC Cambuur had their bid for PSV's young striker Sami Bouhoudane turned down. The club is now close to securing Ajax's Skye Vink, who is seen more as an attacking midfielder. Cambuur is expected to make another bid for Bouhoudane in the future.

SC Cambuur has been actively searching for a young striker with the potential to become a leading scorer in the Eredivisie. Their initial focus was on Sami Bouhoudane, an 18-year-old who has made a mark with seven goals in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie for Jong PSV. Bouhoudane has shown his prowess in the Youth League, breaking through in professional football. Despite Bouhoudane's contract with PSV running until mid-2027, and no immediate plans from PSV to extend it, the club has been reluctant to let him go. Cambuur's offer, reportedly around two hundred thousand euros and a resale percentage, was rejected by PSV. Meanwhile, Cambuur is nearing an agreement with Ajax's 19-year-old Skye Vink, though he is seen more as an attacking midfielder than a striker. Cambuur is expected to renew their efforts to sign Bouhoudane with a future bid.
