Raheem Sterling, the 31-year-old footballer, is once again in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. On Thursday, May 28, Sterling was arrested in Minley, England, after crashing his luxury Lamborghini into the median of a highway while allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The Hampshire police reported receiving information just before 9 a.m. about a Lamborghini crashing into the safety barriers on the southbound M3 near the Minley interchange. No other vehicles were involved, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The police stated that Sterling was immediately charged with driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving, possession of a Class C drug, and refusing to take a test. He has been released on bail while the investigation continues. Although the authorities did not release the identity of the detainee, the English press quickly identified Sterling, a player with a history of off-field controversies.
Sterling's professional career has also been under scrutiny. He joined Feyenoord in the Eredivisie last January after a challenging three-year period and has only managed to play eight matches. This incident may hasten his departure from professional football at 31 years old. The upcoming summer will be crucial for Sterling as he faces potential career-ending consequences.
