Feyenoord is undergoing significant changes as Jyri Nieminen, the club's goalkeeping coach, has announced his departure in mutual agreement with the club. This news follows a restructuring within the club, which includes a new club leadership and assistant coach. Nieminen joined Feyenoord in 2023, working with goalkeepers such as Timon Wellenreuther, Justin Bijlow, Plamen Andreev, Liam Bossin, Kostas Lamprou, and Mikki van Sas. During his tenure, he saw Feyenoord secure the KNVB Beker and the Johan Cruijff Schaal in 2024. "I am immensely proud of the years I have spent at this great club, in an environment where everyone is focused on growing together every day," Nieminen stated on the club's website. He expressed gratitude towards his fantastic colleagues and the players he worked with. Feyenoord is now in search of a replacement for Nieminen, while earlier appointments have included Said Bakkati to the technical staff, Adrie Poldervaart as the new head coach for Feyenoord Under-21, Dévy Rigaux as the new technical director, and Robert Eenhoorn as general director.
