Anatoly Misheryakov, the former chairman of Lokomotiv's board, evaluated the signing of Georgy Dzhikiya, which was announced yesterday. "If Lokomotiv's management believes that Dzhikiya will bring benefits to the team, then he should. I have a completely neutral attitude towards his return, without any sighs. The signing process is a very challenging story. However, this deal can only be assessed based on performances on the field. We know many examples where players with big names did not show what everyone hoped for. On the other hand, there have been many cases where someone no one expected brought benefits. Dzhikiya is an experienced player. For a young team, from a developmental perspective, this is absolutely the right story. A young team needs an experienced leader. A charismatic, well-known player who can create the right atmosphere within the team and show how to approach sports life," Misheryakov said in a conversation with Championship correspondent Vladimir Chetverikov.
