June 26, 2026 · Mariano Bravo
Fabio Paratici has been appointed to lead Fiorentina's revival, emphasizing the need for time and a solid strategy to build a competitive team.
Fiorentina is ready to turn the page, having appointed Fabio Paratici a few months ago to spearhead their revival. This upcoming transfer window will mark Paratici's first opportunity to have a significant impact on the club's fortunes, drawing considerable attention during his recent press conference at Viola Park alongside General Director, Joe Barone.

Paratici outlined key principles to guide the club in the coming weeks, stating, "The ownership is strong and solid, and they have reaffirmed their commitment to building a competitive and sustainable Fiorentina. It will take time, as things do not happen in three months." However, he was tight-lipped about the budget, explaining, "In every club, there are budgets, but they are not solely dictated by the market; they encompass the entirety of the club's operations, including income, expenses, stadium-related improvements, and more. Budgets exist, but they are not exclusively tied to the transfer market."
He provided small hints regarding player decisions: the intention is to keep Moise Kean, while Dodo appears destined for departure. Alongside him, Barone focused largely on broader club matters, including ongoing renovations at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. He issued a clear warning: "Firstly, we do not want this season to be repeated. Our desire and goal is to fulfill Rocco Commisso's vision of creating a stable and solid Fiorentina. We aim to grow, enhance value, and ensure sustainability. This is precisely why Paratici was brought on board."
