Head coach Julian Nagelsmann breathed a sigh of relief after CuraƧao briefly leveled the score at 1-1, before Germany surged ahead. This victory ranks among Germany's largest margins in World Cup history, only surpassed by their 8-0 win against Saudi Arabia in 2002. Notably, Germany also recorded a 7-1 win against Brazil in the 2014 semifinals and a 6-0 victory over Mexico in 1978. The goals against CuraƧao came from Felix Nmecha (6'), Schlotterbeck (38'), Kai Havertz (45'+5, 88'), Musiala (47'), Nathaniel Brown (68'), and Undav (78'). This emphatic win has nearly secured their advancement from the group stage, led by captain Joshua Kimmich.
