Inter Milan continues to show interest in securing the services of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones. However, Piero Ausilio, CEO of Inter, has acknowledged a substantial disparity between the clubs' valuations of the player. With Jones entering the last year of his contract at Anfield, Liverpool is reportedly open to a move to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year. The Reds turned down Inter's January loan offer with an option to buy and a recent bid of £21.7m (€25m), as they value the England international at approximately £35m (€40m). Ausilio stated, "I've never denied that we like Curtis Jones. He has the qualities that could give us something extra. But there's a significant gap between our valuation and Liverpool's. Liverpool have every right to ask for what they believe is a fair price, and we have every right to decide whether that works for us or not. As things stand, I'd say it's very difficult." Jones, who began his journey with Liverpool at the age of nine, has made 228 first-team appearances and scored 22 goals. Last season, he played 34 Premier League matches, with only three Liverpool midfielders—Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch—featuring more. Jones recorded the third-most successful passes and was second only to Szoboszlai in possession wins among Liverpool midfielders.
