
Liverpool Considers Three Candidates for Head Coach Position

Liverpool is reviewing Andoni Iraola, Sebastian Hoeness, and Pierre Sages as candidates for the head coach position after the firing of Arne Slot.
Liverpool is reportedly considering Andoni Iraola, the former Bournemouth manager, as their primary candidate for the head coach position after parting ways with Arne Slot. This development was reported by The Athletic.

In addition to Iraola, the Merseyside club has included Sebastian Hoeness, currently managing Stuttgart, and Pierre Sages, who leads French side Lens, on their shortlist. Stuttgart finished the 2025/2026 season with 62 points, securing fourth place and qualifying for the Champions League, while Lens accumulated 70 points and finished second in the national league, also earning a Champions League spot.
Liverpool announced Slot's dismissal on Saturday, May 30. He had been at the helm since the summer of 2024.
