Rostov Coach Alba Reveals Top 5 Young RPL Talents

Rostov's head coach, Jonathan Alba, participated in the annual survey by "Championship," dedicated to the "Best Young Player of the RPL" award. Alba identified the top five young players of the season, placing Kirill Danilov (CSKA) in fifth and Kirill Glebov (CSKA) in fourth. Victor Melyokhin (Rostov) was named third, while Matvey Kislyak (CSKA) secured second place. Alba crowned Alexey Batrakov (Lokomotiv) as the best among them. At the end of each season, coaches and team captains take part in "Championship's" traditional voting to name the top young footballers from RPL clubs. The main criterion is that all participating players must have been 21 years old or younger at the start of the season. Coaches and captains must choose the top five, with a maximum of three players from their own club. Players receive six points for being ranked first, four for second, three for third, two for fourth, and one for fifth. The scores are then combined to determine the overall winners. Previous winners include Gamid Agalarov (2021/2022), Sergey Pinyaev (2022/2023), Konstantin Tyukavin (2023/2024), and Alexey Batrakov (2024/2025).
