Porto's promising forward William Gomes has caught the attention of some of Europe's elite clubs. According to a report from AS, Manchester United is particularly keen on the 20-year-old, viewing him as a potential asset to bolster their attacking flanks. Other clubs monitoring Gomes include Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Roma. Despite this interest, Porto is firm in its stance to only consider a transfer if Gomes’ €80 million release clause is activated. This makes any potential deal challenging for the interested parties. During the 2025/2026 season, Gomes showcased his talent by netting 13 goals and providing two assists in 46 appearances. His current market valuation stands at €25 million, as per Transfermarkt.
