Bologna and Sassuolo are set for a competitive derby over Ognjen Ugresic, a promising 19-year-old midfielder from Partizan Belgrade. Bologna has reportedly made a robust offer of 7-8 million euros plus a substantial resale percentage to persuade Partizan to release the 2006-born player. However, Sassuolo has emerged as a strong contender, especially following the official appointment of their new head coach, Alberto Aquilani. The club is keen to fill the gap left by Ismael Koné's injury and Thorstvedt's potential transfer to Fiorentina. Sassuolo may come close to meeting Partizan's 10 million euro asking price, potentially outmaneuvering Bologna. In response to this competition, Bologna is considering other options such as Peer Koopmeiners from AZ Alkmaar, De Vlieger from Gent, and his teammate Delorge. Additionally, they have their eyes on Raskin from Glasgow Rangers, although Atalanta has also expressed interest, initiating contact for a potential deal. The transfer market is a battlefield, and Bologna must be ready for any challenge.
