Brazilian superstar Neymar has shared his thoughts on returning to the national team for the FIFA World Cup 2026. "Certainly, I can call this day one of the most special. Every boy dreams of wearing the Brazil national team jersey, and I have worn it for a very long time," Neymar told Globo. "I got injured and was absent for a long time. I was worried about trying to come back, and today I managed to do it after almost three years. I am very happy and excited. It was a huge relief to experience all this again. I thank all Brazilians who supported me. I sincerely thank you, especially my family and friends." Neymar made his 2026 World Cup debut in Brazil's third group stage match against Scotland, coming on as a substitute in the 76th minute for Matheus Cunha. Brazil finished first in Group C with seven points. The World Cup 2026 is being hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The reigning world champion is Argentina.
