Russell Martin, the former manager of Rangers, Southampton, and Swansea City, has emerged as a leading candidate for the vacant managerial position at Leicester City. BBC Radio Leicester reports that the 40-year-old has already had discussions with the club's management regarding the role. Martin achieved promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs with Southampton in the 2023-24 season; however, his tenure was cut short after just one win in 16 matches left the Saints at the bottom of the league. His time at Rangers was equally tumultuous, as he was dismissed after only 123 days in charge, with the team holding an eighth-place standing following just one victory in their first seven league outings.
