Roma Targets Frattesi, Separate from Koné Deal
June 5, 2026 · MarĂa Pilar Ruiz
Roma is pursuing Davide Frattesi from Inter, aiming to enhance their midfield options. This move is independent of any negotiations for Manu Koné, who remains a separate target for the Nerazzurri.
AS Roma is keen on signing midfielder Davide Frattesi from Inter Milan as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. Frattesi, a product of the Roman youth academy, stands out not only for his on-field capabilities but also for his eligibility in UEFA competitions. After a lackluster season at Inter, he is expected to exit the club, with Roma leading the charge for his signature.
Crucially, this potential acquisition is detached from any dealings that could involve Manu Koné, the French midfielder who is also on Inter's radar. While the Nerazzurri have shown interest in Koné, they are only willing to part with him for a substantial offer before June 30, as they need to achieve significant financial gains through player sales.

Frattesi's market value has notably decreased from the €45 million price tag Roma encountered a year and a half ago, with recent inquiries from Napoli revealing an even higher asking price of €60 million. Currently, Frattesi's valuation is estimated to be above €20 million but considerably lower than in previous negotiations.
Not only does Frattesi appeal to Roma, but Maurizio Sarri has also expressed interest in him for his Atalanta side. Nonetheless, the Giallorossi remain the frontrunners in this pursuit, hoping to finalize the deal soon.
